I remember sleeping over at Grandma's house, the walks in her backyard that was all flowers and paths thru them, going across the street to Elmer's for a treat, the hand-decorated gingerbread cookies all over the Christmas tree, and how she always had time to talk to us.

I have such wonderful memories of being at Grandma's house for holidays and just to visit. I loved sitting on the back porch swing and talking with her and just looking at all the beautiful flowers. Her entire backyard was a garden! Every year she made these big, elaborately decorated gingerbread men and hung them on her Christmas tree. It was so much fun choosing which one I wanted to take off of the tree to eat. I also remember how much I loved being able to spend the night in Grandma's room in her "big" bed. It made me feel so special. I will always miss her and wish that my son could have had the chance to know her and be loved by her too. I love you Grandma!

Grandma was an awesome cook. I remember the meals at her house were always FEASTS! Her house was always tidy and the garden in the backyard impressive. She always had a cookie (or three) ready for us and her Gingerbread Men cookies at X-mas were something we all looked forward to. Grandma, we miss you and love you. If heaven can possibly be improved upon, then it got better when you arrived.
