Rebecca E. Uhrig, 8 years old, beloved daughter and sister, died Sunday suddenly in her home from a heart condition complicated by a recent illness. Everyone knew she was special from the sparkle in her blue eyes. Rebecca was in the second grade at Palmer Elementary in Baldwinsville. She loved to dance, sing, create artwork, visit friends and neighbors and had fun collecting purses. She loved her cat, Mittens. She was a member of Brownie Girl Scout Troop 261. Rebecca was a curious child and asked a lot of questions. She will be missed by her friends and family.
Surviving are her parents, Scott and Suzette Uhrig, her sisters, Gabrielle and Sarah and her grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Services will be at 7 pm Thursday at the Grace Episcopal Church, 110 Oswego Street, Baldwinsville.
Contributions may be made to the family c/o Solvay Bank, Liverpool for funeral expenses.
